		Who are we? Fort Wayne PTA council is made up of 50 PTA groups within the Fort Wayne Community School District. Membership is open to anyone who believes in the Mission and Purposes of National Parent Teacher Association. Together we are a powerful voice for children. The Mission of the Parent Teacher Association To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation. Application for Books from Reading Aliance Because of a partnership with the Literacy Council, the Fort Wayne Area PTA Council has 500 books available for distribution to out member units. The reading level is between K-2. Click here to download the application form and turn it in by December 14th if your school would like to receive some of these books. PTA "Positives" The Fort Wayne Area PTA Council is asking that you share any ideas, programs, organizational methods, etc. that you think would be helpful to other PTA’s in the FWAC.
